The meeting aimed to bring sustainability, the circular economy, and the importance of waste valorization to younger generations in a practical, visual, and participatory way.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong>From RedVerde, we were part of one of the workshop stands,<\/strong> where we presented various materials and products linked to bioconstruction, resource reuse, and the circular economy. Examples included waste such as coffee grounds, textile scraps, electronic waste, and pruning debris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>second station focused on the hazard scale.<\/strong> Here, students analyzed the environmental impact of different types of waste and classified them according to their level of risk to the planet. This was one of the most interesting parts of the activity, as it allowed explaining in a visual and understandable way how some materials can return to the productive cycle instead of ending up as waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>From waste to resource: a new way of understanding materials<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>From RedVerde, we wanted to convey a key idea: <strong>the circular economy is not just about recycling,<\/strong> but about rethinking the value of materials from their origin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the field of bioconstruction, <strong>there are increasingly more solutions that leverage natural resources,<\/strong> agricultural byproducts, or organic waste to manufacture new materials with real applications in architecture, furniture, decoration, or sustainable construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Pruning debris, plant fibers, compost, olive pits, or agricultural byproducts can become useful components for developing new products, panels, finishes, furniture, or even construction solutions. <strong>Materials that were previously considered waste can become part of healthier, more efficient buildings that are respectful of the environment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This idea connects directly with RedVerde&#8217;s philosophy: championing natural, sustainable materials that are coherent with a more responsible way of building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>FumiHogar and the ECOFFEE project: coffee grounds as raw material<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fumihogar.es\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/fumihogar.es\/\">FumiHogar<\/a> also presented its ECOFFEE project,<\/strong> a European initiative that works on the valorization of coffee grounds to transform them into natural and sustainable biocides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" and the circular economy,<\/strong> an apparently simple waste can become a raw material with new valuable applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Projects like ECOFFEE<\/strong> help show that sustainability is not an abstract idea, but something that can be applied to real products, industrial processes, and concrete solutions to reduce environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure to bring bioconstruction and sustainability to society from the ground up: through <strong>education.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The children not only learned concepts such as waste, valorization, or circular economy, but were able to touch them, relate them to <strong>real examples,<\/strong> and understand that the materials around us have a history, an origin, and also a possible second
