class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.1 Mineral substrate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>These are walls made with materials such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lime<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plaster<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perlite<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Concrete: These are usually the \u201cstructural\u201d walls or traditional renders.<br>Key question: are they in good condition (firm, no damp, no major flaking)?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the wall is sound, clean and firm \u2192 usually good preparation will suffice and you can apply a lime, silicate or clay paint.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If there is damp, saltpetre, very loose areas or mould \u2192 the problem must be treated first (not just \u201ccovered up\u201d with a very common substrate in interior renovations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lightweight walls and ceilings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New partitions built during a renovation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here it is important to know whether it is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New, unpainted plasterboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plasterboard already painted with plastic paint.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In both cases you can work with ecological products, but the preparation will be<br>different.<\/p>\n\n\n<style>.kb-gallery-id-19127_2777b5-e2 paint<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Many walls already have several layers of plastic paint (standard, satin, even with very intense tones).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Important questions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Is the paint well adhered or does it peel off easily?
