One of the main problems in Mexico City is pollution. To tackle it and start instilling more sustainable values, “Absolut” decided to launch this initiative, in which more than 2,000 square metres of murals were painted using eco-friendly paint.
The environment allows creators to reinvent the signs and elements at their disposal. Using this type of paint also helps to be consistent with environmental values and to give the city a beauty that will last over time, since these murals are estimated to remain in perfect condition for around 10 years.
Among the artists who took part in this initiative is Boa Mistura, a Spanish multidisciplinary team known internationally. Their mural uses vivid, cheerful colours accompanied by the phrase “I am because we are”.
