Fine wood fibre 8 mm

Scope of application

Wood fibreboard (HFA) as a partition base in wooden constructions for CLAYTEC clay partitions in interiors. On surfaces exposed to water class W0-I according to DIN 18534-1, e.g. in bathrooms (except the shower area) and kitchens.

Building Material Values

Compressive strength ≥ 100 kPa, Bulk density 230 kg/m³, Thermal conductivity 0.05 W/mK, μ 5. Heat storage: Cp 2.1 kJ/kgK, 3.9 kJ/m²K. Fire behaviour according to DIN EN 13501-1: E

Dimensions

Thickness = 8 mm. Length = 1200 mm, Width = 600 mm. Surface area per board = 0.72 m².

Delivery method

276 individual boards/pallets.

Storage

Stored horizontally on pallets, in a dry place. Storage is unlimited. Protect from moisture during transport and storage on site. On site, store in a horizontal position and on dry pallets or wood. Protect the edges from damage.

Humidity

In general, the relative humidity of the air should not exceed 70% during storage or after installation.

Material requirements

When determining material requirements, take into account a reserve of approx. 10% for waste, etc.

Support

The support must be stable, frost-free, dry, clean (wooden boards must be dust-free), free of exposure to salt, sufficiently rough and absorbent. Retouch shape imperfections. Fix the sandy substrate with CLAYTEC clay primer and sealer.

Processing

Cut the boards with a jigsaw, circular saw, or cutter.

The bottom row of boards should be mounted with some spacing to ventilate the floor.

Flat mounting on wood or wood material with screws (screws for CLAYTEC clay building boards with a spacing of 200 mm), but usually mounting with 25 mm brackets, e.g. Haubold brackets KG 700 series (ETA approval), with a bracket spacing of approx. 150 mm, edge spacing of 25 mm (from the center of the bracket). Wooden boards should not be drilled with screws or brackets.
