Jute mesh 1 x 50 m. (50 m2) 110 gr./m2. Light: 4.5x4.5 mm.

Application: As surface reinforcement for clay plasters on solid interior building substrates. Not for use on clay boards or cladding, HFA boards, or HFD interior insulation boards. Composition: Woven jute yarn, coated with starch. Warp/weft approx. 2 1/20 fibers per 10 cm, mesh size approx. 4.5 x 4.5 mm. Presentation: In rolls. Surface reinforcement, 100 cm wide/50 m long. Storage: Can be stored for at least three years if kept in a dry, well-ventilated place, protected from direct sunlight. Quantity required: Surface reinforcement equal to the required m² of clay surface, plus an additional 10-20% for scraps and overlaps. Processing: Surface reinforcement: The reinforcing mesh is placed on the mortar while it is still freshly applied and malleable. It is then smoothed with a trowel. An overlap of approximately 10 cm should be left in the areas around the joints. Joint reinforcement: The mesh is fixed with a thin layer of clay; if possible, rub the mortar so that the joint area is not visible through the plaster. Leave the reinforcing mesh exposed in the areas around intersections. The clay mortar used to install the mesh must be completely dry before proceeding with the plastering. (Reinforcing panel joints alone is no longer a common technique and requires experience to execute correctly.)
