MORTEX Bipur Gloss Varnish

BIPUR-G is a two-component, water-based polyurethane varnish, with a gloss finish and specific additives, designed primarily for the protection and finishing of MORTEX systems and similar products indoors, such as floors, walls, countertops and bathrooms.

It is essential to follow the preparation, mixing and application steps correctly to ensure their effectiveness.

Formats:

1 kg and 5 kg containers in components A and B.

• 1 kg: A (0.76 kg) + B (0.24 kg)
• 5 kg: A (3.80 kg) + B (1.20 kg)

Storage:

Store for up to 10 months in a dry place, protected from frost and direct sunlight. Keep the original container closed and without direct contact with the ground.

Serving size: 90–120 g/m² (in 2 layers)

Drying times (at 23°C):

Once the two components of the product (A and B) are mixed, there are less than 3 hours to apply it before it begins to harden or become unusable.

Wait at least 8h and no more than 24h before applying the next coat.

After 16h the surface can withstand minimal use such as lightly handling the treated area.

From 48 hours, the surface can be used normally, but if the temperature is low (12ºC) that time can be extended up to 4 days.

Complete drying: 5 days. This is when it develops its maximum resistance and can be considered completely hardened and protected.

Application of BIPUR

1. Support and Preparation:
   The surface should be clean, dry, matte, free of dust, grease or weak parts.
2. Preparation of the Mixture:
   Filter component A, add component B completely, mix mechanically, and mix again in another container.
3. Application:
   Apply in 2 coats with a microfiber roller (7 mm). The varnish appears white when applying but lightens when drying. Check with light before drying to avoid marks.
4. Cleaning Tools:
   Wash with warm or hot soap and water while the product is fresh.
