Natural hydraulic lime NHL 3.5

17,06 IVA Incluido

SECIL NATURAL LIME NHL 3.5 is a natural hydraulic lime, a hydraulic binder composed of calcium silicates and aluminates and calcium hydroxide. It is obtained by firing marly limestone, followed by grinding, and is classified as NHL 3.5 according to EN 459-1. Hydraulic lime is a binder that has been used successfully in construction for hundreds of years. It is notable for its setting process and for achieving mechanical strength in contact with water. The carbon dioxide present in the atmosphere also contributes to the hardening process.

APPLICATIONS OF NHL HYDRAULIC LIME:

  • Mortars for sustainable construction.
  • Plasters for the renovation of old buildings or in new construction.
  • Decorative finishes.
  • Mortars for laying blocks and bricks.
  • Jointing mortars for stone masonry.
  • Paving mortars.
  • Decorative finishes.
  • Lime concrete.
  • Production of bricks or other building materials.
  • Injection grouts.
  • Soil treatment.

  USE:

  • In the manufacture of mortars, as a sole binder or mixed with other hydraulic or air-setting binders, giving them workability and flexibility, significantly reducing the shrinkage of hydraulic mortars (e.g., rendering mortars, finishes, or cement grout for old masonry).
  • In the manufacture of restoration mortars, as a sole binder, for applying exterior and interior plasters on old substrates.
