Clean previous microporous coatings meticulously. Old paints or varnishes should be completely removed. As a general rule, you should wear a dust mask during sanding. Fill cracks, joints or holes in the wood (with Osmo Grouting Putty). Sand the wood meticulously. Start with coarse-grit sandpaper; the final sanding for floors must be with P120-150 grit and for furniture P180-240 grit. Before oiling the surface, remove dust with a broom or vacuum cleaner. The surface finish depends on several factors, including the natural characteristics of each wood. Therefore, you should test beforehand, especially on surfaces that are unfamiliar to you.
