Osmo Extra Liquid Oil-Wax is stain-resistant, water-repellent, and wear-resistant, with a very pleasant feel. Compared to conventional finishes, the use of plant-based ingredients creates a more uniform color and a more harmonious appearance. Simple application, no primer or intermediate sanding required: saves time and money. Ideal for wood; microporous surfaces will not peel, crack, flake, or blister. Resistant to wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juices, milk, and water, according to DIN 68861-1A (no watermarks). Once dry, the finish is harmless to humans, animals, and plants (resistant to saliva and perspiration according to DIN 53160; suitable for children's toys according to EN 71.3). Osmo Extra Oil-Wax Colorless Liquid is recommended for all interior wood: wall and ceiling paneling, wood floors, furniture, and toys. Thanks to its water-repellent qualities, it is also recommended for wood in damp areas (kitchens, bathrooms, swimming pools). Osmo Colorless Liquid Extra Oil-Wax is specially developed for treating dense, extract-rich woods such as Meranti, Wenge, Merbau, etc. Storage: Up to 5 years and longer if the tin is stored in a dry, tightly sealed place. If it solidifies due to cold, store for 24-36 hours at room temperature before use.

Surface Preparation:

The wood surface must be clean, dry, and frost-free (maximum moisture content 18%). Osmo Extra Liquid Oil-Wax is ready to use: do not dilute. Shake well before use. Thoroughly clean away any old microporous treatments. Old paints or varnishes must be completely removed. As a general rule, wear a dust mask while sanding. Fill any cracks, joints, or holes in the wood (with Osmo Putty). If possible, apply a primer to all surfaces before installation. Sand the wood surface carefully. Start with a coarse grit and finish with P120-150 grit for floors, or P220-240 grit for furniture. Before oiling the surface, remove sanding dust with a broom or vacuum cleaner. The surface finish depends on several factors, including the natural characteristics of each type of wood. Therefore, you should perform a test beforehand, especially on unfamiliar surfaces.
