Thanks to its multiple silicification petrification process, SellarMin reacts with the mineral substrate, forming a single crystalline body that is insoluble in water and highly breathable. It is also suitable for reinforcing the mix of Caltia Mortars when high thickness is required. Create colored or colorless patinas, seal and fix mineral materials such as brick, lime, natural stone, or concrete with a pleasing matte mineral appearance using our SellarMin potassium silicate solution. Given its natural character, it is suitable for use on surfaces where elegance, beauty, naturalness, and respect for the environment are paramount, for protecting mineral coatings, natural stone, or as a primer before applying ColorMin paint.
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES: - Soluble potassium silicate and organic binder <3-5% of the dry extract, according to DIN 18363. - Water-based formulation (low VOC). - Transparent (pigmentable). - High penetration power. - Good abrasion resistance. - Weather, UV, and ozone resistant. - Highly breathable: Sd=0.02. - Unaffected by cement alkalis (unsaponifiable). - Zero yellowing index. - Good washability. TECHNICAL DATA: • Density: Approximately 1.10 ± 0.05 g/cm³ • pH: Approximately 9 +/- 1. • Theoretical coverage in two coats: 5-7 m²/L • Recoating: After 8-10 hours. • Finish: Matte Mineral • Color/Pigmentation: Colorless, but pigmentable. Natural oxides can be used up to 5%. • Application Temperature: From 5ºC, for both the surface to be painted and the ambient temperature. • Compatibility: Do not mix with other products (only with water for mixing the mortar or for application in a more diluted form, when the substrate requires it).
