Yellow clay primer

It is a fine-grained liquid primer designed to prepare surfaces before applying fine clay plasters or decorative coatings of YOSIMA clay.

The YELLOW color provides a fine-grained grip, reduces and evens absorption, and protects drywall and other panels from moisture from clay plaster application.

Composition

Water, calcium carbonate, soluble glass, clay, dispersion < 5% (improvement of adhesion properties and application safety), titanium dioxide. Methyl cellulose, xanthan. Granulometry 0-1 mm.

Application

The product is generously applied over the entire surface with a short hair roller or brush.

Performance

• 5L pail, 56 cubes/pallet, liquid, for approx. 25 m2
• 10L pail, 24 cubes/pallet, liquid, for approx. 50 m2

Drying Time

The next application is only possible after complete drying, at the earliest within 12-24 hours. Drying depends on temperature and humidity.

Exams and Tests

The suitability for use of the entire layer structure consisting of the application of primer and plaster should always be checked by means of a sufficiently large working sample.

Why use yellow primer?

1. It improves adhesion by creating an ideal base for applying clay plaster or other mineral coatings, ensuring uniform and long-lasting adhesion.
2. It regulates absorption by preventing the substrate from absorbing the water from the plaster too quickly, which could cause cracks, uneven drying or lack of adhesion.
